HOLOCAUST LEARNING UK
Since 2020 , we have been working with the charity Holocaust Learning UK to produce educational film for teenagers.
Out of the Darkness: Janine’s Story features Holocaust survivor Janine Webber and a cast of brilliant young actors. Narrator Jason Isaacs describes the narrative of the Holocaust alongside Janine’s own personal experiences and the testimony of other survivors. The film touches on later genocides, discrimination and persecution up to the present day and makes a plea for remembrance and tolerance of those who are in some way “other”. The film is 55 minutes duration.
Out of the Darkness: Assembly Film is 15 minutes, and has been designed with school assemblies in mind. Featuring first hand testimony of a number of Holocaust Survivors, the film provides a powerful and engaging experience for students. Watch the trailer below and if you are a teacher, or represent a school or college, please contact HLUK at https://holocaustlearninguk.org/docufilm/ to register.
